Ballinger
TBI Clubhouse is a community-based,
non-profit, faith based organization
that offers long term support,
in a non-medical setting,
to brain injured individuals
who want to regain their
independence.
The
Clubhouse currently
operates with a
volunteer staff serving Summit, Stark, Portage
and Medina Counties.
The Clubhouse
was formed by a group of
volunteers brought together
by one common denominator
- Brain Injury. In 1998,
the National Institutes
of Health recommended that
all communities in the United
States have brain injury
clubhouses. As a result,
this group recognized the
need and developed a clubhouse
in the Akron area.
