According
to the Center for Disease Control
(CDC),
brain injury affects approximately
1.5 million Americans yearly, occurring
every 22 seconds.
Brain injury
is a silent epidemic, which occurs
as a result of automobile and bicycle
accidents, sports, falls, violence,
strokes and aneurysms, to name some.
Each year
more Americans will experience a
brain injury than breast cancer,
multiple sclerosis, spinal cord
injury, and HIV/AIDS combined!
